The Richard Nixon Presidential Library and Museum will be closed on Thursday, January 9 to mark the National Day of Mourning honoring former President Jimmy Carter and his legacy. The Library will reopen to the public on Friday, January 10.
Due to the National Day of Mourning, President Nixon's birthday will be celebrated at the Museum with free admission the following day, January 10, 2025. The burial site of the President and First Lady and the Birthplace will be accessible on January 9, 2025. Please visit the Nixon Foundation's website for more information about access.
Beginning December 30, 2024, the public is invited to pay tribute to President Carter at the Nixon Library by signing a book of condolences that will be delivered to the Carter family.
